I absolutely love this photo! As this is the first photo I have added in more than one year I wanted to make it a really, really good one. 2007 was the girls' first true Halloween experience. They were butterflies and I am still proud of myself for the pure genius of this costume: cozy leggings, cozy turtlenecks, cozy hats, black socks over slippers and down vests swaddled in gold lame fabric - I was very pleased with the warmth factor, not to mention the cute factor! As for the wings, I get very little credit: the girls decorated themselves with a little help from Grammy Kris and Mommy.
The girls took right to trick or treating and gave me more than one sideways glance the day after when I explained that no one would dole out any candy if they put their costumes back on and knocked up the neighbors. I am sure it all seemed beyond arbitrary to them!
